GoFundMe

Of all the crowdfunding sites that exist, GoFundMe has the most brand recognition. GoFundMe is used primarily to help individuals with medical bills, funeral expenses, and other hardships. Additionally, non-profit organizations also use the site to raise money for various programs. GoFundMe does not have a platform fee, however, it does have a processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30. This fee is taken from donations made in U.S dollars.

Mightycause

For small and midsize nonprofits, Mightycause is probably one of the best crowdsourcing sites. Founded in 2006 as Razoo, the site changed its name to Mightycause in 2018 and focuses on raising funds for charitable causes. The company provides basic services for free but also has a subscription service ($99/month). Mightycause also gives non-profits fundraising ideas that can be utilized at weddings or other celebrations to raise money for worthy causes.

Network For Good

This site is designed specifically to meet the needs of non-profit organizations. The site allows non-profits to establish branded pages and implement donation widgets. In addition, Network For Good donors can make contributions to their favorite organizations. Donation records are also kept using donor management software.

Fundrazr

The Canadian-based crowdfunding site has acted as a host for fundraising campaigns for many years. The company does crowdfunding for individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations. Funrazr also has a 2.9% + $0.30 processing fee. However, the site only charges a 5% platform fee to its Pro Plan members. Pro plan membership includes recurring donations and campaign sponsorships.

 Charity Navigator

This particular site is unique in that it provides ratings for charitable organizations. These ratings are based on financial standing and transparency. Charity Navigator is designed to ensure that donors are giving to legitimate organizations with proven track records. This site is primarily dedicated to large non-profits with 501(c)(3) designations. The company does have a small processing fee and donors can set up monthly giving.
